What about baptism, is that necessary?

decorative line

Jesus was crucified, rose from the dead, and for the following 40 days gave instructions to his disciples. Baptism was one of the very clear actions he directed them to do. He commanded them to baptize and we must follow his words. In baptism our sins are washed away and we directly associate ourselves with his death.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)
